A PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF MIGRATION MANAGEMENT AND TURKISH RED CRESCENT WAS SIGNED

A Protocol between the Directorate General of Migration Management and Turkish Red Crescent was signed with the purpose of providing a better service for the irregular migrants and the foreigners in need who stay in the Removal Centres and Reception and Accommodation Centres.

A Protocol between the Directorate General of Migration Management and Turkish Red Crescent was signed with the purpose of providing a better service for the irregular migrants and the foreigners in need who stay in the Removal Centres and Reception and Accommodation Centres.

According to the Protocol; the process of providing accommodation, nourishment, security, emergency and basic health services shall be carried out under the supervision of both institutions’ experts. Furthermore, psychosocial support shall also be provided for the persons in those centres, and the services provided shall be reported in accordance with the international criteria.

Experts of the Directorate General of Migration Management and Turkish Red Crescent shall work together in the process of identifying the urgent and humanitarian needs of the persons staying in those centres and of meeting those needs. With the trainings which shall be provided by both institutions’ experts, personnel who will take services to the centres shall be trained.
