THE BODY OF YOUNG SYRIAN, WHO PASSED AWAY IN ÇEŞME, WAS DELIVERED TO HIS FAMILY AT THE YAYLADAĞI BORDER GATE

Syrian National Mohammad SULAIMAN, 22, was found dead in a group of 27 apprehended while trying to escape to Greece illegally from Çeşme, İzmir. Since no one looked out for the dead body of Mohammed SULAIMAN, Directorate General of Migration Management searched for his family and found them in Tartus Province of Syria. Upon getting in touch with his family in Syria, procedures required for the transfer of the funeral was initiated by İzmir Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. The delivery and transfer procedures were completed under the coordination of İzmir Provincial Directorate of Migration Management and the funeral sent first to Hatay and then Yayladağı Border Gate in company with a social worker working in the provincial directorate to be delivered to the family.
In the morning of 05.09.2015, the funeral of Mohamad SULAIMAN was delivered to his father Nasr SULAIMAN from Yayladağı Border Gate. At the time of delivery Mehmet BOYACIOĞLU, Provincial Director of Migration Management, Hasan Kılıç, Police Chief of the District, 4 staff from Hatay Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, Garip YOLCU from İzmir Provincial Directorate of Migration Management and staff from Directorate of Customs were present.
During the delivery, Nasr SULAIMAN, father of Mohamad SULAIMAN, stated that he came to Turkey 2 weeks ago because of the turmoil in Syria in order to find a job and he didn’t have any problem with the interviews in the meantime. Father SULAIMAN said “I would like to express my regards to the Turkish officers for the delivery of funeral”.
