THE COORDINATION COMMITTEE ON COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING HAS GATHERED FOR THE SECOND TIME

The second meeting of the Coordination Commission on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, which was established in order to establish coordination between public institutions and organizations, international institutions and NGOs working on the establishment of policies and strategies related to prevention of human trafficking and the fight against this crime was performed under the presidency of Mr. İsmail ÇATAKLI, Governor, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. 
 
In the meeting which was held in the conference hall of the Directorate General of Migration Management on 28 February 2018; Prime Ministry, Presidency of the Judicial Council, Ministry of  Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Ministry of European Union, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Customs and Trade, Turkey Human Rights Council, Turkish Employment Agency, Directorate General of Health Services for Borders and Coasts of Turkey, Directorate General of Security, Gendarmerie General Command, Coast Guard Command, Directorate General of Local Administrations, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Turkey Bar Association, the Turkish Red Crescent, Turkish Association of Municipalities, senior representatives of international organizations and non-governmental organizations participated.
 
The commission meeting which started with the opening speeches of Mr. İsmail ÇATAKLI, Deputy Undersecretary and Mr. Abdullah AYAZ, Deputy Director General of Migration Management continued with the presentation of Mr. Osman KORAMAZ, Head of Department.
 
During the meeting, the activities carried out within the scope of the work to combat human trafficking in Turkey in 2017 were dealt and decisions were taken regarding the works to be conducted in 2018.
